In this work, consisting of two books housed in a box, Gustavo Piqueira presents a contemporary reinterpretation of medieval illuminated manuscripts. The first volume presents four different versions of the same story, written by the title characters, and a fictional narrative about these characters, composing a pessimistic portrait of contemporary dreams and ambitions. The graphic design of the work is as important a narrative element as the cover of the first volume, which is made of aluminum and adorned with hand-glued jewelry, and the text presents a new version of medieval illuminated manuscripts, using contemporary images, such as cell phones and congested traffic.
