Turner’s Venice

The purpose of this book is to make available for the first time a substantial group of Venetian works in colour reproductions to the English-speaking public. It is hoped that this selection will bring pleasure to those who know and love the paintings of Venice. In choosing the plates the emphasis has been put on watercolours rather than on paintings, as the latter have more often been illustrated.
